The goal of the WBOA Mentor Program is to pair up a newer official with an experienced official to help mentor him/her, be there to answer questions, and be their support while getting established.

It is highly recommended for a newer official (<5 years) to join the mentor program. It is also beneficial for officials who are looking to move up to the next level of games. The mentor will help with the rules knowledge and proper mechanics to do that. It is also good for any official who us simply looking to polish and improve their knowledge and mechanics, regardless of the level they wish to officiate.

The mentor will observe the mentee officiate games with feedback and advice. The mentee will come to games that the mentor is officiating, participate in pre-game, and ask questions.

The mentor and mentee will exchange contact info and keep in touch during the season, and the mentor will be available for questions and advice.

To join as a mentor or mentee, come to a meeting and talk to Don Cugier or Dan Knapp.
